Maamess will be postponed to April 2021
Maamess which was to be held on 16-18 April 2020 is postponed to 15-17 April 2021.
“After discussions with the organizing team, we do not consider it possible to organize Maamess on 16-18 April 2021. We are postponing the event to next year,” said Margus Kikkul, project manager of Maamess.
According to Kikkul, the decision did not come easily, because Maamess has a long history behind it. “For the past 28 years, we have consistently organized a trade fair that brings together agriculture, forestry, horticulture and food industries companies. We are forced to postpone the fair, but we must help prevent the spread of coronavirus, ” he noted.
Maamess is Estonia’s largest trade fair, with 484 exhibitors from 12 countries and 45 215 visitors last year. “Unfortunately, the postponement of the Maamess also leaves a significant economic impact on the region. In 2017, we commissioned the Maamess regional impact study from the Estonian Institute of Economic Research to estimate that it was 3,9 million euros at the time,” said the organizer, adding that the postponement of the big trade fair affects companies in many areas.
Tickets purchased and invitations issued before the Maamess will be valid on the new dates 15-17 April 2021.
